Maxthon
I discovered it a while
back at the following SITE

So far, so good... This is ONE FREEWARE PROGRAM which you will
NEVER regret downloading, If you like using Microsoft IE Explorer,
you'll love Maxthon! On the surface it is similar to MS "IE" Explorer. However, it is
FAR more configurable and comes with a variety of useful plug-ins
to choose from.
It functions a lot better than IE Explorer...
• For example, when you "Open in a New Window" the window is
always automatically MAXIMIZED - (this is NOT the case in IE Explorer).
• And the browser's developer actually answers e-mails promptly.
• Another plus is the ability to rid the screen of Gifs, Flash and
popup ads.
• Video, sound, scripts, Active X, Java and IMAGES are also
configurable.
• All of those blinking ADS give me a headache while surfing.
• The nice thing is you can CHOOSE which ones you don't want and
keep the rest.
• Also, it does not use require as much memory recourses as IE
Explorer or AOL browser.
• The AOL browser is especially awful Ram Resource Hog.
• If you wish, you can choose Maxthon's through configuration
controls to set either IE or Maxthon as your default browser (or
back).
• As always, you must still check with "Microsoft Updates" to
protect your computer from vulnerability. It is based on the
Internet Explorer engine (your most likely current web
browser) which means that what works in IE, works the same in
Maxthon but with many additional efficient features.
• If you decide to download it and give it a try, I would STRONGLY
suggest that you thoroughly read the HELP files in order to get
the most use out of it.
